Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can help drive business strategies and decision-making.
• Reporting: Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Ensure that reports are accurate, timely, and easy to understand.
• Data Modeling: Design and implement data models that support the organization’s reporting and analytics needs. Work with data engineers to optimize data warehouse architecture and data pipelines.
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business units to gather and document their BI requirements. Translate business needs into technical specifications and solutions.
• Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, spreadsheets) into a centralized data warehouse or reporting system.
• Data Quality: Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing data quality checks and processes. Identify and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of BI tools and reports. Ensure that queries and reports run efficiently, even with large datasets.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on how to use BI tools and interpret data reports. Promote data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest BI tools, technologies, and best practices. Propose and implement improvements to BI processes and systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar.
  • Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries for data extraction and analysis.
  • Experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
  • Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and data integration techniques.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
• Soft Skills:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience: Experience in a similar role within a specific industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, retail) is a plus.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Microsoft Azure.
